History
Cruzeiro Farm was founded in 1910 by Mário Baptista Lima, who, together with his wife Marieta Ribeiro de Resende Lima, had five children: Clarice, Cleonice, Hélio, Haylton, and Maria Luiza. As a great appreciator of innovations and with a mind geared towards progress, Mário Lima increased his assets through coffee cultivation. He was a tireless administrator, endowed with great optimism and unshakeable faith. Deeply religious, he built a chapel which was inaugurated on November 7, 1944, by the bishop of Campanha, Dom Inocêncio Engelke, whose patron saint is Saint Joseph. Upon his death in 1967, the farm was managed by his son-in-law Antônio Salgado Lorenzon, an agronomist, married to Maria Luiza Pinto Lorenzon, the current owner. Antônio continued the activities by expanding the cultivated area, introducing new cultivars and management practices, always seeking to increase the productivity and quality of the coffee produced. Following his father's example, Vitor Flávio Lorenzon continued the farm's story, inheriting the responsibility, passion, and vision of his father. With a keen eye for innovations and a commitment to traditions, he has led the farm to new heights of success. Thus, with a solid historical foundation and a vision for the future, the farm remains excellent in coffee cultivation, committed to sustainability, and the production of high-quality coffee.
