History

The Volta Fria farm is run by the daughters of José Avany Rabello Piedade, Camila and Gabriela and their widow Andréa Maura C. Machado Piedade. Traditional family of the municipality of Três Pontas in the production of coffea arabica variety.
In 2010, the women of the Machado Piedade family had to recover in pain their strength to continue José Avany's work in coffee growing. They faced prejudice, boycotts, and all the intrinsic adversities of coffee production.
Today the property is 100% run by women, with Mrs. Lucimara as the field manager. And, aiming increasingly quality and efficiency, the farm is certified by UTZ, Pratices, Certifica Minas and 4C.
Facing every obstacle, coffee has become a passion of these women who as warriors continue to produce beans with quality and love.
